Before the deal, each player can choose to either place an ante or a blind bet. A forced bet is a bet that cannot be folded. During the deal, the dealer deals two cards to each player.<\/p>\n
Players are then able to reveal their hands. They can discard up to three of their cards. In some games, wild cards are used, which allow players to make five of a kind.<\/p>\n
There are hundreds of different ways to play poker. However, the basic rules of poker are always the same. Depending on the particular game, there may be additional betting intervals. These intervals are called side pots, which are won by different players.<\/p>\n
