Poker is a game where players use a deck of cards to form the best hand they can. The rules vary depending on the type of poker being played. Most games have two betting intervals. Players bet each time, and all bets are collected into a pot at the end of the round.<\/p>\n
During the first betting interval, all players must buy chips in the same amount. Chips are commonly red, blue or green. Dark colored chips are usually worth two, four or five reds.<\/p>\n
A player may choose to raise or fold based on the odds of their hand. Occasionally, a player can win by bluffing. This means that they are making a bet that no other player can match.<\/p>\n
After the cards are dealt, a betting round begins. Players will bet or check their hands. If they check, they are obligated to call a bet that another player made.<\/p>\n
Cards can be dealt face up, or face down. In some variants, the dealer may be required to cut cards.<\/p>\n
Often, players will use a standard 52-card pack. Jokers are sometimes added to the deck. They are usually considered wild cards.<\/p>\n
If a player has a flush, he or she has five cards of the same suit in sequential order. When all players have a pair or three of a kind, they have a full house.<\/p>\n
